Media & Public Relations

Often, we work to put our clients on center stage. Sometimes, it’s important to keep them out of the spotlight. Our skill at both comes by way of experience — first-hand, sleeves-rolled-up experience.

Before coming to Washington, one of the firm’s name partners was news editor and evening news anchor at an NBC television affiliate in Tucson. Another was press secretary for the U.S. Department of Transportation. A senior associate boasts a journalism career spanning three decades that includes assignments as an editor and correspondent in charge of a bureau for The Associated Press and as managing editor of a radio network and wire service.

Communications strategy is an integral part of virtually every legislative and regulatory outreach effort. For those clients who need in-depth media and public relations assistance, we provide a broad range of services.

We develop media strategies, place articles, arrange news conferences and interviews, design and place advertisements and manage special events.

We also conduct day-long media relations seminars that give our clients training and advice on how to work with reporters and provide them with invaluable pre-interview exposure to hot lights and video cameras.

Because creation of an image is often as important as improving an image that already exists, we also assist our public relations clients in building name recognition and brand identity. This can include such services as survey research, website development, help creating new names and slogans and design of graphics packages.
