Brandon Avila

Brandon Avila has nearly a decade of legislative experience in the Congress and the Administration.  Before joining Bracy Tucker Brown & Valanzano as an Associate in 2007, Mr. Avila spent four years in the Administration working for the Corporation for National and Community Service—the federal agency that oversees the AmeriCorps, Senior Corps and Learn and Serve America programs. In that role, he served as a congressional liaison to help advance the annual budget of the agency, in addition to working with congressional staff on relevant authorization measures.

Brandon started his career in Washington DC as a legislative assistant to Representative Calvin Dooley (D-CA), where he worked on a variety of issues including energy, labor, foreign relations, education and housing.  He spent the last year in that office handling Rep. Dooley’s Resources Committee assignment, with special focus on energy and water.

Brandon is a native of Los Angeles, California and attended the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in political science.
